Your Complete Guide To Buying Men's Suits...Read On!
They say every man must own at least two great suits. Making the actual purchase may however be quite intimidating. This is because a gentleman's suit must not just complement his body but also his age, personal style and lifestyle. Once you know the key to buy the right suits, you will never end up making the wrong choice. Given below are some worthwhile tips on how to make the right suit selection:
The first thing to check out in a suit is whether the shoulders fit comfortably and closely or not. Dress suits usually have shoulder pads so you got to check if you like the shape and thickness of shoulder pads or not. Also, if you are buying a readymade suit, you should be completely contended with the shoulder pads because this is something a tailor can't alter. Besides this, you should be mindful of the shoulder's slope. While a slight finished slope looks voguish, steep sloping shoulders may require thick shoulder pads. People with broad shoulders must however avoid adding excessively thick padding.
The next thing to look out is buttons. Single buttoned suits are not advised unless you plan to attend a retro themed party. Such suits are not quite common but if can carry it off with elan and poise, why not? Double-buttoned men's suits look neat and classy on nearly every man. A doubled-buttoned suit cannot go wrong, regardless of the theme of the occasion. Such a suit is usually worn with just the upper button buttoned. The popularity of three-buttoned suits has also shot up in the past decade or so. These are worn with either just the central button buttoned or the upper two buttons buttoned. Single-breasted designer suits with 4 (or even more) buttons are also quite common and in fact they present a very chic look. People usually avoid wearing four-buttoned suits to conservative business meetings.

The next thing to consider is the precise 'jacket style' which means you can choose in-between single breasted suits and double-breasted suits. Barring heavyset young men, double breasted suits can practically be worn by any man. Such a jacket style looks classy and has an evergreen appeal. It is always worn with all its buttons buttoned (regardless of the exact number of buttons). Single breasted suits are no less common and usually fit everyone neatly. You will however need to decide on the number of buttons.
Next in line, you got to be careful of the notches, peaks and width of the lapels. The width of suit lapels keeps changing. Presently, suit lapels that are 3-4 inches of width are in vogue. While notches are usually found on single breasted suits, peaks are generally associated with double breasted suits.
As a prospective buyer, you would as well be concerned with the vents in the suit. Double vents or side vents are the most popular of all as they allow you to move with ease. Single vents also suffice but unless you are quite slim, you must not settle down for a zero vent suit.
